The Maryland State Police are warning of hazardous conditions due to sleet and freezing rain on interstates 70 and 68.

Officials say there were many crashes Friday morning on the ice-covered roadways.

State police closed all westbound lanes on a portion of I-70 from about 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. to allow crews to treat the road.
