According to the Maryland State Police, 75-year-old Daniel Fanning of Aberdeen was driving a Ford truck westbound on Route 40 about 3 p.m. on Monday when a Nissan sedan driven by 74-year-old Kenneth Hitchcock of Newark pulled out from southbound Jackson Station Road and into Fanning's path.
Two men remain hospitalized and three face charges in the wake of a birthday party in a downtown hotel that ended violently early Sunday, with one party-goer shot by a semi-automatic pistol and the shooter allegedly disarmed and badly beaten by others in the crowd, police said.
Captain Mike Perry reports around 4:30 p.m. Friday at Martin Luther King Blvd. and West Chase St. a vehicle collided with a Maryland General Hospital entrance.
